Two seconds later, the pair were on the pavement and wondering what on earth had just hit them.
It turned out that they had just received a masterclass in cage fighting without even climbing into a cage. The man in the pink wig was James ‘Lights Out’ Lilley, 22, while the bloke in the sparkling dress and long wig was Daniel ‘Lionheart’ Lerwell, 23, both of them members of the Swansea Predators cage fighting team.
They just happened to be on their way to a fancy dress party. ‘You can’t judge a book by its cover,’ Daniel remarked this week. Quite so. ‘It is a sorry state of affairs when a guy can’t safely walk down the street in a miniskirt without getting grief from some idiot,’ added Lilley.”
